With the Council’s new allotment site now going strong & proving popular with residents, & with a growing waiting list, the Council is now looking to develop a Community Garden next door to it. It is proposed that the site will consist of a series of raised beds & polytunnels, with a communal building, however Council members are open to suggestions & would like to appoint a group to manage the Garden.

The Council has set up a working party to lead on the development & it is planned to invite interested villagers to a meeting in the coming months where ideas can be brought together.

The Council is investigating the possibility of providing a water supply to the sites, which will help with operations; the recent dry spell of weather has proved to be a challenging time for allotment holders with new plantings!
