The Council’s work to develop allotments on Meadow Vale continues on a piece of land at the far end of Meadow Vale football pitches, which the Council acquired in 2016.

The Council was successful in its application for lawful development to provide guidance on further permitted development of the site, which includes the provision of shared facilities to enable those interested in horticulture but not able to manage a plot by themselves to pursue their interest, as well as enabling the younger people in the village to further their education through growing plants. Works to install internal fencing & pathways at the Allotment site will commence in January & the Council is arranging the provision of sheds. The Council is next looking to develop communal facilities & has arranged an open meeting on Saturday 13 January at 11am in the Parish Rooms to enable members of the public to have the opportunity to comment on the plans.
