Seaton in Bloom
Tuesday, 17 October 2017 09:52

Work has started to make improvements to enable Seaton to enter the Cumbria in Bloom competition, & the Council is looking at options for introducing additional flowers around the village.

Interestingly, the competition is not just about flowers & not just about what the Parish Council can do, & it is hoped that households, businesses & schools will join in. Plans are being developed for the planting of bulbs in suitable locations, (people will remember the display on the cycletrack embankment near Seaton shops), & the provision of more flower beds. Other environmental improvements are planned, with funding provided from Allerdale Borough Council Community Grant as well as the Parish Council, & a display of knitted flowers in the centre of the village has been mooted. Village residents interested in joining in are welcome!
