Rainy weather in July led to the cancellation of the original openingday for Jackson Street Play Area, following the installation of sixnew pieces of equipment suitable for the 7 to 11 year old age group, & the official opening took place instead on Saturday 9 September.

The official openingwas carried out by Seaton's oldest resident, Mrs Jean Skelton, who had openedthe refurbished park some ten years earlier. Seaton Scouts kindly erected alarge gazebo in support of the event & Parish Councillors joined in the fun.
