Christmas Lights
Saturday, 26 November 2016 00:00

christmas01Seaton Christmas Lights were switched-on on Saturday 26 November.

The Council has arranged for additional lights to be displayed around St Paul’s Churchyard from this year. It has also moved the location of the Parish Christmas tree to one of the greens adjacent to Seaton shops and Iggesund has kindly donated a twenty five foot high tree.

The switch-on event ran in conjunction with the Church Christmas Fayre, with stalls promoting local organisations, local entertainers and the community choir, amongst other entertainment, on the afternoon of the 26th.

Following entertainment by the Parish Green, a procession led by Councillor Celia Tibble and special guest, Marshall of Paw Patrol, proceeded in procession to the shops for the lights switch-on at 5pm, attended by hundreds of spectators, particularly young fans of Marshall.
