cliff-hodgson-memorialMany residents of Seaton will have heard of, and indeed met, the late Cliff Hodgson. John Clifford Hodgson served Seaton as a councillor for 43 years, many of those as Chairman of the Parish Council, and dedicated his life to the village.

In September, a plaque on one of the benches near Seaton shops was unveiled in Mr Hodgson’s honour, recognising his contribution to village life, at a ceremony attended by close family and Seaton councillors.

Seaton author Ethel Fisher referred to Mr Hodgson as ‘The one that got away but will never be forgotten’; a fitting tribute to a dedicated public servant.
