Bench in Memory of Trevor Fee
Wednesday, 12 November 2014 11:11

A bench was officially unveiled in memory of respected village councillor Trevor Fee on 27 October 2014. Trevor, who served on Seaton Parish Council, as well as Allerdale Borough Council & Cumbria County Council, died suddenly in September 2013 at the age of 57. The commemoration event was attended by Trevor's wife Adelaide, children Matthew & Charlotte, & colleagues from Seaton Parish Council. A ribbon was cut by Adelaide to mark the event & she was presented with a bunch of flowers by Councillor Jim Musgrave.

The mahogany & steel bench is positioned on Main Road, Seaton, between Coronation Avenue & Derwent Avenue, overlooking the Solway Firth & the view across to Scotland, a beautiful vista when the sun is setting, & one which Trevor & Adelaide held in special memory. The bench is inlaid with a plaque, reading 'Do you know how many lives you have changed & how many you have completely rearranged ? People's Champion'. A fitting tribute to Trevor.
