Brick Dubs
Monday, 10 December 2018 16:56

The Parish Council is working in conjunction with Workington Nature Partnership to develop Brick Dubs as a Nature Reserve. Over the last few months, an on-site ecology study has been taking place, on which the results are expected soon. These results will help the Council assess the type of development that would support fauna & flora present on the site. Over the coming months, Workington Nature Partnership Officer Raegan Blacker will be conducting some improvement works on the site & members of the public interested in taking part would be welcome. It is planned that the volunteer work days will take place between 10am & 2.30pm on the following dates:

  • Friday 19th October
  • Friday 16th November;
  • Thursday 13th December;
  • Friday 18th January
  • Friday 15th February

Volunteers should meet at the site; anyone unsure of the location should look out for the advertising posters or contact a member of the Parish Council.
